1. MILE OF MUSIC FESTIVAL

Mile of Music is a completely FREE music-first festival that spans a full walkable mile in the center of Downtown Appleton, Wisconsin four days each August since 2013. This 100% original music festival offers music-lovers over 900 live music sets performed by 200+ up-and-coming (or emerging) artists in 70 venues; from coffee shops and bars to parks and restaurants, museums and other public spaces, and offers attendees a chance to join hands-on music education experiences. This grassroots all-original music festival was co-founded by Appleton marketing executive Dave Willems and Appleton/Nashville-based national recording artist and GRAMMY nominee Cory Chisel, with support from nearly 100 community organizations.

2. LIVE! FROM HYDRO PARK KAUKAUNA

Enjoy live music from Hydro Park in beautiful Downtown Kaukauna every Wednesday night this summer. Hydro Park comes alive with a diverse musical line-up each week. Bring your lawn chairs, your sunglasses, and your dancing feet to Hydro Park and enjoy an evening of unforgettable entertainment. Each family-friendly concert is from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Concerts are free to attend!

3. APPLETON NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

Join APD in Jones Park for our annual Community Block Party. Community partnerships and neighborhood relationships with the citizens of the Fox Valley make our neighborhoods safer. This fun, free, family-friendly event will take place on Tuesday, August 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in our “neighborhood”. National Night Out is not just for individual neighborhoods anymore, let’s bring the whole community together!

Our Neighborhood Watch groups continue to serve as an iatrical part of our strong community and will continue to have their individual block parties. Those parties will coincide with our party and together we are making Appleton safer and a more caring place to live. Join your neighborhood party and visit ours as we celebrate with 38 million neighbors in 16 thousand communities across the country for National Night Out.

4. GRAND CONCERT SERIES: SOUNDS OF NASHVILLE

Back for year three, listen to your favorite country songs performed acoustically by the songwriters themselves under the stars. Featuring all-new songwriters including Tim Nichols, Deric Ruttan and Heather Morgan! To make your experience safer and more enjoyable, timed ticket reservations will be required in advance. When making your reservation, you will select a timed entry beginning at 5:30 pm, every 15 minutes until 7 pm. You must enter the Garden based on your timed entry to check-in.

5. SYMCO WEEKENDER

6. WISCONSIN STATE FAIR

The annual Wisconsin State Fair is the state’s largest agricultural showcase, offering endless family entertainment at an exceptional value. 7. PADDLEQUEST

This is PaddleQuest! A paddling-based eco adventure competition event. PaddleQuest is a unique competition set in a world of fantasy held since 2002 in Stevens Point, WI. Paddle from place-to-place meeting characters, solving puzzles and completing challenges.

9. DONALD DRIVER CHARITY SOFTBALL GAME

Donald Driver is bringing his Official Alumni Charity Softball Game back to Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in 2021! The Green Bay Packers All-Time Leading Receiver, Super Bowl Champion, Dancing with the Stars Champion, and New York Times Best-Selling Author will host his game on Sunday, August 22. Game time is 1:05pm. Fans attending the game will receive a complimentary, limited edition Donald Driver bobblehead! The game will raise money for the Donald Driver Foundation. The mission of the Donald Driver Foundation is to display Strong Hands, Strong Minds, and Loving Hearts to serve as a hand up, not a handout.

10. ONEIDA POW-WOW
